About Edmund Knighton
Edmund currently consults individuals, couples, families, communities, and organizations, supporting them to move their dreams into the world through a practical process of converting them to embodied mindful soul practices. This practice is based on a synthesis of approaches from many teacher-healer-manifesters over the past 38 years, most notably Ra of The Law of One, Rudolf Steiner, and Ron Kurtz, combined with practices in neuropsychology, somatic and transpersonal psychology, and teach/learning of young children through the lifespan to elders.
Experience
Edmund completed a predoctoral internship at University of California-Davis Medical Center’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (a Regional I trauma center and teaching hospital), where he provided neuropsychological assessment and therapy as a member of a multidisciplinary medical team that used a biophysiopsychosociospiritual model to treat neurological disorders, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and stroke. Having completed a five-year training in Spacial Dynamics, Edmund’s research interests lie in human development as the synthesis of spatial maturation with affective and cognitive dimensions.
Edmund was also Department Chair and Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology, Somatic and Pre/Perinatal Psychology Concentrations, at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a registered psychological assistant at the Family Therapy Institute in Santa Barbara, where he completed post-doctoral work in Marriage and Family Therapy. A Waldorf educator for 35 years, he served as faculty and administrator of five graduate institutes and four Waldorf Schools.
Waldorf Leadership: since 1989 include faculty chair, college of teachers chair, and board member. Waldorf Committees include finance, strategic planning, personnel, facilities, recruitment, hiring, special ed, peer counseling, guidance (discipline), scheduling, athletics, and high school.
